Ambulances

The handling of the NHS by the conservatives/lib dems has just got messy and a whole lot worse with plans to now introduce longer waiting times for ambulances a move described by the unions as ' the move would cost lives and dismissed the scheme as a ploy to meet targets ahead of the election.'

Ambulances will be despatched immediately only if it is a suspected cardiac arrest or major accident.

For all other calls, including life-threatening cases such as strokes, breathing difficulties and blood clots, operators will get three minutes to assess...

UK childrens mental health

Uk government coalition kept saying they were fully supporting mental health and yet this is a total load of crap.

since 2010 NHS spending on children's mental health services in England has fallen by more than 6% in real terms by the tune of 50 million.

The cut, equivalent to nearly £50m, was revealed by NHS England in a parliamentary answer.

Labour, which had asked for the figures, accused the government of breaking its promise to make mental health a priority.

if you have been affected by cuts with mental...

Outrage over cancer drugs.

two drugs companies have attacked a decision to remove  their treatments from a fund to give expensive therapies in England.

The Cancer Drugs Fund is overspent and 42 drugs are being reassessed as price caps are brought in for the first time.

Pharmaceutical companies say they are "outraged" at a "fundamentally flawed" decision that will damage patient care.

NHS England said the current system was unsustainable and that there were new drugs "that will do more for patients".

Do your kids play rugby or are thinking about playing?

If your kids play rugby or are thinking of playing then read this -

A children's neurosurgeon is calling for urgent action to identify and limit the risks of serious injuries caused to school-age rugby players.

Michael Carter from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children argues that "rugby sidesteps many safeguards intended to ensure pupil wellbeing" and calls on schools, clubs, medical facilities, and regulatory bodies to help plan a safer future for the sport.

i was born with a speech impediment which causes some problems when saying words with r's and t's, i went to an ent surgeon who were going to operate on my pallete but then chose to leave it.

some years ago i purchased some speech software and kept encountering problems and unknown to me at the time of purchase to use this software you need to have near perfect english.

just wondering if it would be worth while chasing with doctors to see if they can do corrective surgery or would it be well best to leave alone.

cancer
my mam passed away with cancer and just found this about a top doctor who has stabbed all those in their backs battling and fighting cancer. hope this guy gets sacked for what he has said.

A leading doctor and former editor of the prestigious British Medical Journal (BMJ) has claimed cancer is the best way to die.

Richard Smith believes the opportunity to reflect on life before it ends is important and urges charities and the medical world to "stop wasting billions trying to cure cancer".

"This is, I recognise, a romantic view of dying, but it is...

I was registered with a NHS dentist quite a while ago, I then moved but then did not get my 6 monthly appointment only to find that my dentist had shut down, no notice was even given to me.

with this I managed the best I could but then started having problems with a dead tooth which got badly infected and was then taken out via emergency hospital dentists.

I asked to be placed on the NHS dentists waiting lists only to be told that it could take a year to even get on a list for my area, the worst thing is that I am between 2 areas and there are only 3 NHS dentists to cover...
