Thursday thinking of the weekend
Friday finished work

I notice that on at least one London station St Pancras International, they have installed at two pianos on the ground floor on a busy thoroughfare between the Underground station and the National Rail station. Anyone can play if they choose to, there is no charge. Some passengers actually turn out to be extremely talented, and a real pleasure to listen to. None more so than seeing an 8 year old boy attempting a Chopin piece.

IBM believed to be scrapping 110,000 of its 430,000 workforce around the world, in the UK 5,000 jobs could be scrapped within days.

To date this will now be 10,000 jobs lost and yet unemployment is down and growth at its fastest and yet the economy has now slowed, something just doesn't add up here.

What really happened, is that a 16 inch water main burst in central London. The water from this main obviously found the lowest point, where the National rail line passes below the London Underground line and this where the water collected requiring three days of pumping to dry out the tunnels. At one point the water rose to over 1m and trains were unable to pass through yesterday (Sunday) and today.

Drugs cheat Lance Armstrong has revealed that he would probably 'do it again' if his cycling career were to start over.

Russian Spy Posing as Banker Nabbed in NYC

An alleged Russian spy posing as a banker in Manhattan has been arrested, federal officials said today.

The banker, identified in a criminal complaint as Evgeny Buryakov, is accused of working with agents of Russia’s foreign intelligence service, the SVR, as a “non-official cover” agent.

Buraykov was arrested as part of an alleged spy ring that involved two other individuals, the Department of Justice said.
