Parents warned to watch out for Scarlet Fever symptoms
The number of people diagnosed with Scarlet Fever is on the increase.
Public Health England (PHE) is reporting a national increase in the notifications of scarlet fever cases, above seasonally expected levels.
Scarlet Fever is an infectious disease caused by bacteria found on the skin or in the throat.
Symptoms of Scarlet Fever can include a rash which is sometimes confused with the measles rash, a sore throat, a red and swollen tongue and flushed cheeks.
